more spring loveliness

I was shelling some fresh peas Sunday afternoon. It's things like this that make me love spring, and make me feel as if it's my favorite season of all! Of course, ask me again in October and I'll probably say that I love autumn best!

Just look how gorgeous they are!

They taste of spring, too! I cooked them with some shallot and made a simple puree with olive oil, lemon zest, and some mint. Spread it on a slice of toasted baguette and shave some cheese on top--simple and delicious!
